Dick Smith Foods has been forced to minimise the number of food product and financial donations as well as sponsorships whilst we reinvigorate the business. We're still going to donate to charitable causes, but in a more measured way.

Since the company's inception we have so far donated over $3.50 million to hundreds of worthwhile causes. Whilst this has benefited the recipients and given us great satisfaction, we did not retain adequate funds within the business to enable it to expand and offer increasing support to our Australian owned food manufacturers as well as our farmers.

To compete with the huge foreign owned multi-national companies and to continue to be financially viable, it is necessary for us to re-invest in our own company.

Once we are expanding again and have generated enough internal funds to ensure ongoing viability we will increase our charitable funding and sponsorship campaigns.

We trust you understand and will continue to buy our products whenever possible for the benefit of our children and grandchildren.
